Description : The rcommended dose of candesartan in heart failure is 4mg/day with a target dose of 32mg by doubling the dose in 2 2weekly - Cardiology News; Jul, 2005 -The onset is usually within 2-20 weeks of starting therapy. Rarre instance of clincally apparent acute liver injury have been reproted in association withcandesartan therapy - Hepatotoxicity; http/livertox,nih.gov/index.html -Renal vascular resistance and labumin excretion were reduced following treatement with candesartan.Glucose homeostasis and lipid metabolism were not affected by treatmentin patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
