Description : Progesterone is an essential hormone in the process of reproduction. Indeed, it induces secretory changes in the lining of the uterus and is essential for a successful implantation of the embryo. Moreover, Progesterone modulates the immune response of the mother to prevent rejection of the embryo, and enhances uterine quiescence and suppresses uterine contractions. Therefore it is theoretically plausible that Progesterone supplementation may reduce the risk of miscarriage in women with a history of recurrent miscarriages. Several studies have used Progesterone and related steroids in the attempt to prevent spontaneous miscarriage and to increase the embryo implantation rates in assisted reproduction programmes - Facts Views Vis Obgyn. 2013; 5(1): 66–71.
Description : Both mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid were effective in management of menorrhagia. Tranexamic acid was superior to mefenamic acid in terms of reduction in menstrual blood loss. Both have the advantage of only being taken during menstruation. Control of dysmenorrhoea was achieved in significant number of patients in both groups. Minor side effects like epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting was more frequent in mefenamic acid group. Acceptability rate was high in both groups - Int J Repr Contracept Obst Gyne. 2017 Oct; 6(10):4608-4612.
Description : In the cytoplasm, methionine synthase requires vitamin B-12 in the form of methylcobalamin & catalyzes the conversion of homocysteine to methionine by transfer of one methyl group from methyltetrahydrofolate, also required for the mitochondrial enzyme methylmalonyl CoA mutase, which converts methylmalonyl CoA to succinyl CoA, a step in the oxidation of odd-chain fatty acids & catabolism of ketogenic amino acids. Thus, vitamin B-12 is important for DNA synthesis, regenerating methionine for protein synthesis & methylation, & preventing homocysteine accumulation. The best known clinical conditions that require vitamin B-12 therapy is B-12 deficiency in the elderly- Adv Nutr. 2012 Jan; 3(1): 54–55.
Description : Anaemia among men in India is an important public health problem. Because of the similarities in the patterns of geographical and sociodemographic variation of anaemia between men and women, future efforts to reduce anaemia among men could target similar population groups as those targeted in existing efforts to reduce anaemia among women - The Lancet, Vol.- 7, Issue-12, Dec- 2019.
Description : Findings indicate that high dose vitamin C plus zinc could make a tangible contribution to improving quality of life and speeding up recovery in patients with symptoms of the common cold- J Int Med Res. 2012;40(1):28-42. Vitamin C inhibits the excessive activation of the immune system to prevent tissue damage. It also supports antibacterial activity, stimulates natural killer (NK) cells & differentiation of Th0 subset into Th1 subset. In addition, vitamin C also modulates synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines, or expression of adhesive molecules - Indian J Clin Biochem. 2013 Oct; 28(4): 314–328. Vitamin C is also a cofactor for the hydroxylase enzymes involved in the synthesis of catecholamine hormones, e.g., norepinephrine, and amidated peptide hormones e.g., vasopressin, which are central to the cardiovascular response to severe infection - Nutrients. 2017 Nov; 9 (11): 1211

Composition : Ubiquinol 100mg, (Active form of Co Enzyme Q10)
Form : Tablet
/ Pack : 1 X 10's
/ Type : ALU-ALU
Description : Ubiquinol is the reduce form i.e. negatively charged form of CoQ10 whereas ubiquinone is the oxidized form i.e. positively charged form of CoQ10. Cells within the body perform the redox interconversion reaction to maintain a state of equilibrium between the two forms as needed. This means that if there are insufficient levels of ubiquinol then increased amounts of ubiquinone will be reduced to form ubiquinol. Ubiquinol, due to its complete reduction get an increased polarity of the molecule thus shows a significant factor behind the enhanced bioavailability.
The significant increase in plasma CoQ10 status observed after the 2-weeks supplementation suggested that ubiquinol appeared to be a better supplemental form to enhance the CoQ10 status than ubiquinone in older men- Food Funct. 2018 Nov 14; 9(11):5653-5659.
Description : India is experiencing a major change in lifestyle of individuals, increasing health consciousness, stressful and hectic lifestyles, lack of time to cook meals at home due to increasing number of working class. Changing supplement habits, absence of physical activities and rising demand of individuals in desk-bound employments has increased the consumption of fast foods and packaged nourishments in India. This has played a key role in increasing the occurrences of lifestyle diseases , like Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Obesity, Cardio-Vascular diseases. Consumers, belonging to upper and middle class are searching for supplements offering balanced nutrition. Zeracten capsule could be an idealistic option for them
Description : Evaluated the effect of L-Arg and L-Lys on cultured human osteoblasts. Primary human osteoblast cultures were divided into four groups: the Arg Group received 0.625 mg/ml per day of Arg, the Lys Group 0.587 mg/ml per day of Lys, the Arg–Lys Group received both amino acids, whereas the Control Group was sham-treated. After 7 days, the following parameters were tested in all groups: alkaline phosphatase (ALP), nitric oxide (NO), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), osteocalcin (OC), type I collagen (PICP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β 1) on culture supernatant, platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I), and MTT proliferation test on cells. Arg administration significantly increased ALP, NO, PICP and IGF-I production and reduced the level of IL-6. Lys administration over the same time interval mainly affected cell proliferation, as evidenced by the MTT test and immunostaining for PDGF. The same positive effects evidenced by the single administrations of the two amino acids resulted from their simultaneous administration. However, synergism could be demonstrated only for the decrease in the level of IL-6. Arg and Lys show a positive effect on human osteoblasts, which is related partly to the production of those factors required for matrix synthesis, and partly to the direct or mediated activation of cell proliferation- Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, Volume 56, Issue 10, December 2002, Pages 492-497
Protein-energy malnutrition, which is common in elderly patients with osteoporotic hip fractures, is associated with reduced plasma levels of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I). IGF-I is an important regulator of bone metabolism, particularly of osteoblastic bone formation both in vivo and in vitro. Pharmacological doses of arginine (Arg) increase growth hormone (GH) and IGF-I serum levels- Bone- August 1998 Vol. 23, Issue 2, P.103–109.
